I did use my artistic license to make some changes for this page: technically, you should be able to see the rest of the ship through the dome, and the lower part of the bridge isn't really all dark like that, but I thought not making those changes would have left the page looking a little cluttered. *shrug*

Dress Uniform

A (very) quick concept sketch of the dress uniforms in US. I figured that since sailors have dress whites, soldiers on starships would have dress blacks. :P

No, I'm not poking fun at any famous science fiction franchises, why do you ask?
Also: Our decidedly nonsexy AI here was inspired by a little app for iPhones/iPods/iPads called Spawn Illuminati. It's a trippy little app that puts a bunch of little glowing streamers on the screen, which fly around in patterns, and can be manipulated in a bunch of ways (more/less particles/glow/size/speed/color/etc.). It's hard to describe, but it's easy to figure out if you see it. Anyway, if you leave your finger in the center of the screen, the streamers all whirl around it in a little tornado, and that's what this AI looks like! :) Go check it out; it's only $1.

OC Clothes

So I just got a really excellent art book about fashion/clothes, and I realized that the clothes I draw have always been a bit... uninspired. So here, I lay out the basics for the main characters in each of my four stories: the kinds of things they wear, with some specifics.

US Ch. 2: Pg. 1

Inspired by an excellent webcomic I've been reading called Misfile and an awesome new art book I just bought, I do believe I'm going to try something new. I'm going to start on Chapter 2, but instead of doing shitty drafts and fixing them digitally, I'm going to try and get most of the drawing right the first time, and only digitize things like panel edges and speech bubbles. What do you think?

The Halo Community

Am I the only one who noticed this? Just a few months ago, everyone was complaining about how Halo: CEA's multiplayer was nothing new. And now that it's been revealed that Halo 4's multiplayer will be nothing like it... suddenly, change is evil!
