Samus 5

3 of my favorite Suits, plus a flashback to one of Samus' encounters with Ridley.

Samus 4

A grab bag of Samus art...
-The new suit in action
-The logo of the company that manufactured it (it's also visible on the front of the suit)
-The mysterious vessel seen at the end of Metroid Prime 3 (there are very very few images of it available, so this is the best I could do)
-In the absence of available canon, my story fills in the gaps about said ship: it repeatedly hunts down and wounds Samus without killing her; it also destroys several of her gunships, and strands her on an alien world.
-And hey, I just wanted to draw a Chozo. Never tried before! And I love Old Bird. :3

Samus 3

Dunno what it is about being home, but whenever I'm here, I'm inspired to keep working on this Metroid story I have. Here's a third version of an alternate suit for Samus, and I think I like this one the best. The original idea behind it was for it to be designed for extreme weather, and have regular fabric as part of the design in some way (last time it was a scarf).

Random Characters

Based on some of the shows I've been watching recently: The Legend of Korra and Farscape. Love both of 'em, especially the character designs.

Like Tears, in Rain...

I drew something. Finally.
I won't even explain why it took so long... I give you enough credit to recognize the pattern by now.
We watched Blade Runner in one of my classes the other day. It was the first time I'd seen the movie in years... and I forgot just how much I love it. Wow.
So, what better way to celebrate my upcoming Spring Break? :)

...wait, why did I draw Deckard smoking? He's a drinker, not a smoker... bah, it's noir. Does it matter?

Edit: Turned it into a banner, too. What do you think--better or worse than the old one?

Six brushstrokes counts as art and I don't care what you say to the contrary.

Yeah, this is probably all the art I'll be doing this weekend. Two midterms on monday, ugh.
Anyway, we did calligraphy in Japanese today, which was AWESOME! Very, very fun. I need to do this more often.
The gray squiggles in this are creases in the paper, by the way. I can't seem to get the scanner to ignore them. :( And yeah, this didn't turn out perfect, but it looks better than the other ones-- and it was my first time!
(In case you're curious, this kanji is pronounced "tsugi", and it means "next".)
